This is a hot spot for tourism with beautiful beaches and great entertainment/events.

I’m not saying this is a bad thing but come on, this county takes in so much money from tourism there shouldn’t be a need to keep increasing our taxes and adding new fees.  

The situation is particularly critical as the Upper Peninsula has upcoming projects, such as the opening of Copper Peak, set to boost tourism, and the launch of copper mines.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't affected tourism more yet but that's probably because it's cheap and so it attracts price conscious tourists, especially in a period of high inflation.

Coeur d'Alene River runs through there too which is well known for it's fly fishing, which also brings quite a lot of tourism.

I understand the tourism-growth phenomena well, having lived in Florida and now outside Aspen.

Am a dual citizen (US & Portugal) and work remote, have been considering investing in Porto, Portugal (highly touristy area that has been growing tremendously not only in value, but in tourism) where my family is from or getting a multifamily here in the states (currently live in the tri-state area).

Keep in mind that tourism can change, especially in beach towns that depend on the season.

Well there's definitely tourism going on in Roatan and, when you start from scratch, it's easy to triple.
