I tell PotentIal tenants it’s usually quiet unless of coarse a gun goes off In a drIve by or the police are arresting someone with their sirens on .i also tell them it’s just a short walk down down the lItter lIned street to our frIendly liquor store and there’s a charmIng little ma and pa corner store that sells cigarettes ,rolling papers, and lotto tickets - all the essentials.

@Jonathan Woodruff speaking only for myself, one thing that drives me nuts is people who are typically drawn to the charm and unique qualities of an old home, and then whine about its lack of modernity--- modernity which, by the way, will likely fall out of favor again in a decade or less.

I would think that short term prices would suppress on SFH's but from a little bit of online research about the RE effects of other hurricanes, that seems not to always be the case as demand goes up as rescue money and recovery related personnel pour into the region.

I second what @Mike Wood stated above, and will add that building code will require a full fire suppression system for any new construction multifamily with 5 units and that will be very expensive in itself.
