1031 Exchange Phoenix vs L.A.

If you’d been holding around $620K from a 2019 sale and directed it toward a few properties like that.. especially if you leveraged financing.. you might’ve grown your portfolio’s total value well beyond what many Los Angeles holdings would have delivered over the same period. Then again, L.A. still has that unique mix of robust demand and limited supply.. from what I’ve heard, you can see impressive long-term gains there if you’re comfortble navigating tenant protections.

After he teamed up with a local intermediary in the Bay Area.. from what I read in the Wall Street Journal, Lockton has been helping investors streamline these moves.. he ended up freeing enough capital to invest in a mixed-use building in San Antonio that we’d been eyeing for a while.I’m no attorney or CPA, so I’m not giving legal or tax advice here, but there’s definitely something to be said for repositioning your insurance to fit your broader investment goals.
