I remember one street where an investor bought every house and did a dramatic transformation.

The entire process has been frustrating at times and exciting most of the time, but overall the process has been satisfying after seeing the transformation from a 1960's cookie cutter into a more modern, contemporary ranch that any generation would love to call home.

So I decided real estate development was the surest and most rewarding way to make money and transform spaces (ie house flipping).I also realized that this job market would not be easy to break into with limited connections and experience.

West Asheville has gone through a huge transformation as you know, and I believe it is positioned for another wave of growth based on recent activity in that market.

We just completely redid the house we bought 1.5 years ago (totally redone kitchen, bath, flooring etc... and we're now working on creating a built in entertainment center) It was pretty fun seeing the house transformed.

It was transformative, and a new world opened up for me.

This means taking a ugly house in a A-B neighborhood and transforming it into a show piece, very risky for a first timer.

You may also be able to simplify the easement with just a blanket easement and leave it up to the electric service provider to map out where their poles and transformers will be set.

Ever since then I've been hooked on real estate investing and trying to learn as much as I can.I currently work in the Loop and that has been great thus far, but I've realized that real estate is the driver that really transforms people's lives to that next level.
