I have looked at these along with dry cleaners and clothes washing centers.Came to the same conclusion on all.

You can make minor adjustments based on the type of appliances (dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, air conditioning, etc.) and the size of the rental.

So, sometimes the headroom isn't sufficient (7' minimum finished ceiling height) or the basement is damp because there is no drainage etc around the foundation.Second, you need egress for a bedroom in case of a fire.

Follow your gut instinct, because a general rule, you can tell about people from the condition of their clothes and their demeanor. 

Homeowners insurance covers the contents ie TVs, Furniture, Clothes etc. as well as the structure.Landlord covers the structures only.  

BX, cloth wires.. the I've been talking to the electrical inspector and this place will likely need all new electric (!!!)

People who own clothing stores are now failing because of amazon and online shopping. if you are not adapting to the world around you, you will be left behind.  

Surely they can close the door or put a wash cloth on the bottom of the tub.

@Joe Gore 3x rent is a bare minimum in my mind......the way I understand it is that the calculation is based on before taxes, so taxes right off the bat eats away 1/3 of their income and then If people have one or more kids, a low income job, utilities, food for their family, clothing, medical bills, etc. then how are they going to cover the rent?
