A bank will not take a short sale if you have assets that could be used to make up the difference.JonI mean in your opinion with the current situation with the market and loans would they bend some of there policies and and let someone else that is quaified assume the loan if I admit to them that I can no longer make these payements as relief to the current borrower?

@Alex Kovalenko I understand the tenants reasoning, however Alex as being a landlord I think you shouldn't bend your policies for a tenant regarding the background check.

I certainly wouldn't mind accommodating a tenant if they wanted to terminate the lease early due to some fault of my own, but being the proactive person that I am, I bend over backwards to make sure my end of the lease agreement is followed to the T.
