@Anthony Gayden, there are some Blue collar investors on here, it would take possibly looking at each profile or reaching out to people to find out, a lot of people do not put their profession along with the picture on the forums, I do not know if you are Blue collar where as mine and @Paulo Bermudez mention what we do, so it's hard to know what most people do, if they work, the thing is most of the advice here is from investors that are trying to do what they can while learning and helping others along the way and it is always good to get advice from people that look at things differently.

I'm not married, but will be in the next year to a college professor who had no debt and no savings, (although will be saving about 1,000/mo going forward now that his student loans are paid off).  

As for the future, would it be a good idea to buy for example, a 2 bed 2 bath house/condo and rent out the other room (to another student more than likely) while I go to school?

Does the mentor have successful students doing what you want to do?

Not exactly sure how we compare with other areas in Illinois or even out-of-state but enrollment here is continuing to increase and those students need someplace to live, especially the internationals that are just dishing out money like crazy!

When a big student housing project sprouts up next to campus in the midst of these SFRs, what is the likely impact on SFR properties which are immediately adjacent to the project? 

So I would not consider that surface knowledge, but I am not professing to be an expert on the exact inter working  socioeconomic factors of every house and street in Western Hamilton County. 

I have a doubt and I do not know who to turn to, I am 18 years old and I am going to start working, and I want to save approximately 2 to 3 years to build in the back of my parents' house rooms for students as we live near of a national university. the issue is that I am also interested in buying for my `first car haha. and I need your opinions.

Any mention of college or student or renting the property out by the room will preclude it from most financing.What is each individual property worth?
