In Maryland for example, a cute little way that the state takes advantage of the monetary benefits of offering an LLC while affording those having an LLC little to no protection is by stating in law that " an officer of the Llc that commits/takes part in the offense in question is also liable"...aka if you run your own Llc, you personally are also responsible.
