Smart cameras like **Ring** or **Arlo** can be a good option, and you can hide the recording box in a locked area for added security.

I am not looking to get a real estate license for now, so that has seemed to limit my options as well.

Just to clarify my previous post, I would like to say that while I've experienced challenges with mngt, RTR/Rent to Retirement has been extremely helpful in navigating this situation so I know what my options are and so I don't feel alone in this process.

@Nold R.there are really three options for you to do this. 

However, if you have conveyed the information to them via some type of written from.. that is a good option to leave it to them on what their choice is and move.

You have two options: Pay the partial claim off out of pocket or do a short sale.

The other option would be going to local investor meetups and asking those who attend for good references. 

Based on the value of a property you can likely get away with a inexpensive desk top study such as condos and you will require a more comprehensive engineering study for larger properties like a 4plex.Desktop / modeling options are sometimes good for smaller residential like you mention. 

Using BiggerPockets sounds like an option, but I would appreciate hearing any suggestions you may have.
