I'm going to assume your permission since this is a forum and this is America and I'd do whatever I want anyway.Each of the new ordinances contains a military clause meant, ostensibly, to protect active duty military STR owners (for the owner-occupied portions of the amendments).

Additionally the other owners sometimes have control and voting rights on who the purchaser of the shares can be and have final approval and say if they are approved or not.It's all about the entity structure and what original docs said and any amendments since then.The other part is if you are allowed to 1031 exchange your interest into another property or not?

Another option could be to amend #2 and purchase a home and convert an extra space into an ADU or build one above a garage since CA just made it a lot easier and cheaper to build ADUs.

Great location and building amendments but the building it self charges for everything that makes the building great.... use the pool, charge, Gym, charge, parking, charge, BBQ, charge and so on. its like an extra $200+ a month to fully use the building.
