I use a cherry cabinet with light colored granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and ceramic tile floor.

I've been in hotels where the HVAC only works if you put your key card in a slot, i.e. if you are in the room.

(I bought his stainless steel refrigerator from him that he didn't need in the apartment he moved to -- which I'm putting in a new rental I should be closing on tomorrow.)

Using all steel maybe, but you still have water switches and valves that can be damaged.

Thanks for the info - I'll check with Ace (Home Depot and Lowes were no help).This is for my Dad's new place, so the 10 bucks is not that big a deal.I've done the steel wool trick for now.

IMO, a better investment is steel.

might check the floor above and check level and for cracks, I used a large steel ball bearing to check level, set it down gently and if it rolls, it's not level and will go to any dips.

These were steel tubs where the porcelain had worn.I'm not sure it's worth it to refinish fiberglass.  

The husband was very supportive in providing the support and codes for the fridge (I had purchased a used stainless steel GE fridge).
