If anything, the typical apartment renters are moving into the surrounding rental homes because they want a little space but cannot afford to buy. 

I currently live in Kenner, LA, but I'm interested in purchasing SFR and multi-families in the Lafayette and surrounding areas. 

Jacksonville, as in downtown, or suburbs, or any of the four surrounding counties?

Looking in a few areas in the surrounding-ish NYC area, ideally 2 hours max from where I live in Queens.

Keep in mind that the local rankings in order of desirability, as harsh as it may be, are as follows (sorry locals, I grew up in Brazoria): 1) Lake Jackson and immediate surrounding area (Clute not viewed favorably by long time locals) 2) Angleton area 3) Brazoria 4) West Columbia 5) Sweeny 7) Surfside and Freeport maybe tied. 

There are also a few REI meet ups in the surrounding AA area.

I have a great lender here in Illinois who can do some of the surrounding stats as well. 

Most of the surrounding areas only get 7 mbit.

I would be very interested to begin networking and communicating to people around the Pensacola and surrounding areas to see how I can get my foot in the door.
