You can not install key locks on bedroom doors.In Jersey Heights, the rent of old building  is around $1600/month for a 2 bedroom apartment, around $1800 for 3 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment.

Every three months my handyman is there replacing or fixing the door locks.  

Only place to find reliable rent comps is the MLS or a solid leasing agent.
