Just trying to sort out the details about how it all works as a Canadian.I am just wondering if anyone can give me a basic overview about what its like as a Canadian investing in US real estate? 

Hey Darnell, Depending on the details we have done this before. 

Not only do they expect their money to be repaid with a cashout refi and maintain their 80% equity but they want charts that detail by when and their MIRRlol 10% and 1% interest and she's not even willing to drive an hour and half to a REIA. 

As far as you parents, I would put your financials together to walkthrough with your parents that detail out the purchase, mortgage, expenses, cash flow, appreciation, etc.

But would like to get some insight and details about that market as I live in the Denver area and will be long-distance investing. 

By dispo side I plan on wholesaling and working with other wholesalers in the market who also have leads and connecting them with my buyers if the numbers, location and details are all in a row.  

If I decide it's worth investing in, I will crunch the numbers in more detail and do more research.I recommend reading "Long-Distance Real Estate Investing" by David Greene to learn how to invest in other markets.

Details of my situation below...My wife & I are currently in the middle of  a 1031 Exchange where we're selling a condo in Boston and using the funds to purchase a triplex in Worcester.
