It could have have been a janitor that works night shift and the neighbors would think hes vampire and if there were some seedy tweakers renting and they had half a brain they would have probably kept there mouths shut and hope someone new would buy it and screen the tenants better than the last guy.... 

So my girlfriend always gets mad at me when the words “give me 2 to 3 years” comes out of my mouth.

Word of mouth, LinkedIn profile testimonials, online review sites, BBB, etc. are all great ways to review your potential inspector's reputation.

We're in Birdville ISD, and could not be happier w/ Porter Elementary, where my son is in first grade and my wife works (she started volunteering, and they offered her a job as a TA).  

For each of his reasons, I had a better rebuttal why not, from advice given here at biggerpockets, and my brother, but I kept my mouth shut and said, Okay. 

I'd like to stay below $400k, but would be happier with $250k-$300k if that is even doable.
