Yes, I'm aware of that, I'm really a nice guy, or can be, it's pretty much the frustration with people not investigating anything for themselves, neither of you guys, but there are those that will post a question that is still being answered in active forms, just a few hours apart and they ask the same da__ question!

You did not mention where the engineering school was located, but if its located in the United States, investigate an FHA 3.5% down payment mortgage for 30 years with an interest rate of 4% max, which would require owner occupancy at least a year (you'll be there two years). 

That doesn't mean that the IRS dictates lending but rather can identify it and if they can identify it they can report it if another agency requests information, if there is an investigation and one agency has an order, the IRS can comply and thereby confirm what went on.
