When I was self managing I would have paper applications and I had an online company run the credit and background.

But you should be able to find a 30-days notice to vacant for your state online. 

Are there specific networking events, online platforms, or strategies that have proven effective for building relationships with investors?

Popup Meetup, LinkedIn, Facebook Groups and other online platforms can be helpful in this endeavor.

My experience does not agree with yours as I do not see Ohio everywhere online and I invest in the Midwest.

I purchased the rental property book via audible and trying to access the online content.

I still think there is a value for cards but generally agree with this advice - especially if you are starting out as a real estate investor - business cards aren't needed - a linktree or some sort of QR code with a basic online hq page is going to be the best bet

I plan to use baselane to do online screening and am not sure how it works yet.Regarding pet allowance, do people usually request to leave the pets in the front or back yard?
