Encapsulant is a special coating, almost like liquid rubber, that needs to be applied to specific thickness and tests need to be done to the components to determine if we can even encapsulate.

Well I dug the footings and they aren't even close to thick enough... 6 inches and 9 inches, and the engineer says they should be able double that in order to support the extra weight.

They apparently remove all your fixture valves, then pump a thick viscous fluid through your pipes until they are all coated on the inside with a thin white epoxy barrier.
