The only reason I ask is painters in my neck of the woods charge between double and triple extra to remove it, compound, and then paint.

Were else could a painter make a million bucks painting a mural at company headquarters than at Google..

We would still have used plastic sheeting. all the painters are RRPs they don’t charge more by the hour for the guys that are certified bc almost every house here needing work was built before 1979.

Most painters I use are very cleanI'm not really supportive of that being a good strategy.

They take ongoing repairs at a high level, a significant up-front capital expenditure to harden them, or both.In my area (rural New Hampshire) $27 for a decent carpenter is cheap, and $23 for a painter is above average.

Seeing a bad handyman painter plumber in a convertible is probably a sight😎

So if I was looking for a good person to put  up drywall I would ask a painter who always sets him up to make his job easier to finish.
