It's a different feel if they see you ripping up carpet, painting, swapping out cabinets, etc.I know that it's not as popular to say that, but you have to earn their respect, trust, and friendship to get a solid team at a distance.

For example we always swap lock cylinders, shampoo flooring, chemical clean drains, ozone/disinfect, patch the mount holes.  

I just get a new one and swap it out, as they only cost $10-$15.  

I just replaced my first dryer yesterday and opted to go new because it’s not nearly as easy to move one in or out as compared to swapping a stove or fridge on the first level.

Two of the units I could get in to swap out furnace filters and give the notice then, but the other two I can't think of a polite way to text them and say hey I have to increase rent, can I come over to deliver the official notice. 

Do you know if the lock portion (key hole) can be swapped out?

Have you heard of any other locks that you might eventually swap too since you don;t like the one you have? 

I personally would replace asap because both properties for me needed them swapped already.
