Both GP MF /CRE syndication fall out had the same root cause to why such a big bank like SVB is falling.the SVB is falling not because of tech exposure but because they are holding too many MBS bond purchase that yields very low prior to the fed rate increase , this is why I think the Fed decision to rate increase so dramatic so fast is crazy because those bank can’t handle the situation that the Fed created.

I was on the other side of this last year as a purchaser, I inspected a home in Scottsdale and didn't like a few of the items in the report like roots in the sewer line, a poorly installed leaking toilet pump, etc.

If you close on the property and then discover the roof is leaking, the main sewer line is nothing but tree roots, really any major expense, that can easily put a borrower in a position where they do not have enough actual cash to solve the problem, so the property loses value due to deferred maintenance, or the borrower digs themselves into more debt, making it even harder to get another loan to cash me out of the equation at that upper 20% of equity.
