It´s great that you are keen to build a rental portfolio.

I'm not keen on buying property that I'll never see, but I know that there are some scenarios where this totally acceptable.

I'm very keen and interested in the idea of "owner-occupying" this first property, all while the same time fixing it up, and using this as a vehicle for rental income in years to come. 

He's keen on the Phoenix area but it's a big market to get a handle on.

Totally worth the costs for me, no doubt.My wife and I are pretty keen on moving to the Denver area, and it would be great to get in touch with you when we get up there.

Thanks Kevin Hunter , appreciate the input , my background is Construction which is why I’m keen to  convert it into more rental units , thanks for the great advice ,  I know the setup for how to proceed in my native Ireland but just trying to learn the ropes over here now , all the different local authorities etc , thanks again and Happy Paddys day !

Personally, I'm partial to little cities/ big towns like Keene, NH over places that are super rural or so big you can get lost in them.
