Given the likelihood of these new property taxes happening (if you read this thread, I haven't been wrong yet), I really wouldn't look at this as a non-event but instead as the beginning of a paradigm shift where Chicago property owners pay suburban tax rates but, at the same time, receive services that pale in comparison to the suburbs.
