Hello,I'm new on the forum and I'm from Portugal.2 years ago I bought an apartment, where I live now, and I have the opportunity to sell now for a 74k profit.I've always wanted to get into the real estate business, but I never had the money to start.I've bought my apt under construction 2 years ago, and now I can sell it for 74k profit.I have the idea to buy 3 apartments, max 100k each with all the costs rehab inc. and give a 20 % downpayment on all of them.

Wondering if anyone with direct experience in Portugal has any advice or pitfalls to avoid? 

My ultimate goal is FIRE and I'm planning on moving to a lower cost of living area to increase my savings rate (Midwest, Portugal, AZ).

A friend had a time share in Portugal, most of the buyers were from UK or Germany and wanted the warm sunny location just off the ocean.He couldn't sell his, he had paid $16,000 to buy it.
