Foreclosure usually happens because of death, illness, job loss or divorce and cripples the homeowner's ability to make mortgage payments.

My property taxes are high - around 9k a year.I’ve been out of touch with the market this year dealing with an illness and I’m trying to make the best decision cause this is my lifetime investment and extra income.

With all due respect, your response was negative and ill-informed.

With so many airborne illnesses I think I owe it to my guest to ensure everything is clean. 

IRS is the way to get at these folks.. most will not pay tax on ill gotten gains and that is tax evasion..

@Jay Hinrichs Thanks for the advice but I have quite a few years experience but because I was ill for several yrs I lost everything.
