If you are a buy and hold investor, Cape Coral-Fl, Detroit-MI, Lansing-IL; whereas if you are looking for appreciation, Los Angeles would be a good market but you would need to do a JV with someone since $100,000 cannot purchase much in Los Angeles.  

I am in the DMV area, but I plan on getting property in Michigan (Metro Detroit to Lansing area).

I actually work during the day in Lansing although I live in Flushing.

I graduated in May with my marketing Bachelor's Degree from Northwood University and since COVID hit and the job market in Lansing for marketing isn't great I've decided to pursue my real estate license.

Using Bigger Pockets as an educational resource, I successfully bought a fairly inexpensive 3BR SFH in Lansing, Mi, got tenants in there about a week ago, and now I'm feeling pretty good about things.

You would think paying the extra 18 mils and not having a vote on additional millages (since we don't live in that municipality) would be enough.Is this East Lansing?
