I have read recently identity thefts are carried out by advertising non-existent rentals and asking people for info on the pretext of vetting them.

I would just tell the PM to let them know the owner is not responsible for any theft or damage that occurs in the parking lot. 

They have some identity theft insurance, which surprised me.

this policy can insure vacant homes the biggest thing is pipes bursting not covered or theft of items not covered.

In my eyes it amounts to grand theft at minimum.

Drug use and theft has essentially been made legal with no consequences if caught.   

The returns just outside of city limits are strong and there is less theft, better tennants, and less holding costs.

So i concluded that theft with these rentals may be an issue?
