I think those books are garbage because they are using fairly legitimate self improvement advice to sell real estate hype/lies.It's great that you value goals, willpower, planning, etc.  

BTW- Most of the so called sight unseen people have seen the property.Don't get caught up in the auction hype- Know your numbers before attending the auction.  

I had not read one book or attended any "hype" seminars so I was really GREEN.A cousin had showed me how to read a foreclosure list and I ventured into my new career.I failed daily.

There's a lot of hype on this book, but having so far read through to Chapter 4 I'm just not getting it.

The media will over-hype absolutely ANYTHING if it gets them more views, because that's their life blood.

What's with all the hype with investing in Michigan?

This is an odd place, we have little agriculture (too much sand too little soil), little industry (not a lot of natural resources and not very close to the northern markets), and lots of hype.

While I would not label them as a scam, because the curriculum does contain legitimate principles you can use, I would call their program hyped-up and over-priced.

I have been to many workshops in the past, most of which were mainly hype.
