Consider: 1. flying taxi (promised by Uber to be here within 5 years or less). 2. prefabs, containers and other structures delivered by air (in speedy fashion). 3. the distance from A to B via land traffic vs. air. 4. cities growing concern with financial cost of the abandoned land. 5. social mobility and tourism (social curiosity).

Technology (and those that embrace it) will certainly change the game but I don't see the need for inter-personal skills going away any time soon.

Life only happens once, embrace it and your business at the same time.

I spent twenty years working in restaurants, working my way up from Dishwasher to Head Chef so I embrace hard work and a good challenge.

However, if you're paying your rent and paying your cleaner to flip units out of your own money, it feels like an eternity to get from October to the start of next year's tourism season.It's all about the location.

Swedish values are everywhere in this store, they also want you to embrace their culture:As soon as you pull in there are electrical charging stations for all electric cars (even though nobody in America drives them yet).  

You may then check out some local tourism sites for stats on busy seasons, lulls in the year, and demographic of visitors (is it families coming down for a week, single guys for a golf weekend, etc. etc.).   

It goes away once you start making some money and understanding the property once you own it :)  Embrace the feeling but still work through it and do some deals!

In addition, I'm also looking to get started with short term rentals, so a market that has a decent tourism is of importance as well.

I was thinking of doing this at the time of lease renewal, but will embrace it now, if possible.
