Now- water heater: It's a small house. 2000 sq ft, half up, half down. 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 washers, 1 dishwasher.

The rental unit has an original dishwasher.

After 2 and a half months, tennant calls and says the kitchen sink and dishwasher is backing up and not drainging. 

I just finished paying for a electricians to install smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms to bring my first property up to code but It dawned on me that I could have used battery powered alarms, is either much better than the other?
