The container builder we are meeting with has invested a considerable time and cost into engineered plans for the attachement of the containers allowing them to be stacked and pass building codes.  

We have a Land contract that we will likely be taking back in 3-6 months, its a 3/1 1,819 sqft  with attached garage.  

This is our first home and we are emotionally attached.

I'd suggest adjusting your mentality to one of not being so attached to the deal.
