Just like when you get interviewed by a prospective employer they do not have to hire you if you are not a fit.

What are some other things that we should consider before we start interviewing lenders? 

Obviously you call and interview the contractor yourself, but I’ve found that PMs are great resources.

When you are actually raising money for a specific deal you have under contract, raise twice as much through soft commitments (commitments where they have not wired funds yet / non-legally binding commitments) because you will find many people back out when it comes to actually wiring the funds (at least on your first deal).You should start speaking to and interviewing syndication attorneys (feel free to DM ME for a list of syndication attorneys).

Interview a few to find one that can help you. 

The combination of debt paydown, equity build, and appreciation and time are what build wealth.I would suggest taking a couple months to network on BP...setup your keywords, follow the forums and a market will appear...I'm personally big on Columbus, Oh because I live and work here...but you will find some really well qualified investor agents on BP that can speed up your learning curve by doing some 30-minute interviews with them...unfortunately, you can't escape the legwork.Always glad to chat more on our location or investing in general.

During the feasibility period I'm planning on conducting the usual due-diligence with a thorough inspection of all the property's systems and structures (utility services, roof, HVAC, maintenance history, lot survey, tenant interviews) along with a Phase 1 ESA.
