Hello Everyone,I've read through a few threads on here and decided to join the site.

I'm a 1099 employee, I have a LLC can't get approved for a loan right now, was looking more for a hard money lender type just to get the ball up and rolling I'm staying near Glens falls right now  but I do most of my work in MA and found a lot of foreclosures that need work and I have a contractor over there.I just join this today so I'll do some more research.Thanks for the feedback

I'm in Massachusetts, but I would highly recommend obtaining your license and trying to join a reputable firm in your area.

Does anyone have any advice for someone new joining this site? 

I started doing some home flipping from 2001 - 2009, then got into buy and hold.I am at a cross roads, so I recently sold some properties, in an effort to have a portfolio of quality over quantity.Not exactly sure what my next move will be, the big challenge for me has been learning about tenant issues, and dealing with some unexpected repairs, both my wife and I took a course and are IPOANS CAM Certified (Certified Property managers).We only manage our own properties, plus have a couple of hired property managers to help with some out of town units, however, I have been studying tenancy rules, laws, and have become addicted to answering property management questions.What attracted me to join this site, is all the different types of real estate investment people are involved in.I look forward to participating in the forum.Michael P Currie

The great thing about BP is that it never stops helping no matter how long you're in REI:) Outside of the site though there are REIAs and BP meetups in your area that you can join to connect with people in person.

I am a note broker and investor and  I'm excited to join BiggerPockets to learn more about the industry as well provide my help in anyway that I can!!!
