I started a PM from chance; a couple of owners next to me asked me to manage their cabins, and things developed from there.Anywho...A good PM is going to take care of every single detail, with minimum intervention from the homeowner.

I'd first slow down and develop some sort of subject matter expertise.

Owners come primarily in two flavors...the Micromanagers, that know more than you; and those that prefer being oblivious and not bothered with anything but the most significant incidents.What I have focused on is developing solid systems and processes in all operations with the goal of prevention, rather than constant corrections.
