Hi from a Bigger Pockets Newbie

Hi all! 

New to the community and looking forward to learning and hopefully collaborating with other members. I am located in California currently but I grew up in the Midwest. 

I hope to purchase my first investment property by the end of the year, initially in Northwest Indiana, likely Hobart. After that I hope to expand to other areas. I plan to do out of state investing given the prices in California! 

I am not yet a real estate professional/investor but that is my goal in the next year. I have been renting rooms in my home as mid-term rentals and have experience in that area.
