Check out Scott Patterson's Dark Pools - I've read that book a few times & each time I fly right through it because its so entertaining (it also motivated to design software for one of our businesses). 

Green is the color that flashes when markets are improving or when interest rates are falling.

If you get a loan the appraiser does a current value with tenant in place and a dark value at end of primary lease term if they do not renew the option period.

What was said so far in these responses sounds solid, but without knowing everything you have, what your specific goals are, what you're planning on, and what your personal thresholds for risk are, as well as what exposures you have, you're ultimately shooting in the dark. 

Color me skeptical…

They only told us three days ago there were dark marks.

It's a big blackhole of understanding for me, and I'm trying to color in the picture a bit more.Maybe I need to start underwriting individual properties rather than trying to understand the market as a whole? 

I imagine given history this should be easier (but I am in the dark on this one).
