When they return in August happens to coincide with a slowdown in tourism, so it would probably make the most sense to just work it out where they have the entire house during the school year; but I suppose if they had an interest in just renting the upstairs unit all year, I could consider trying to continue to airbnb the house all year.

It does get a bit more complicated when you're talking about purchasing a property specifically for this purpose due to regulations (I have to answer to a state, a county, a town, and a village, who at any point can change their laws), the ebb and flow of tourism in a region, and your positioning within the region.

They are supporting the new inbound population, with the new job at one of the Fortune 500 Atlanta-headquartered corporations, with a home a few miles from work where they can raise a family and hope that their home purchase from the investor will allow them to one day also be a real estate investor.Linda @ blue moon
