The vary nature of an appreciable asset is that it is a mirror of the state of inflation and the market economy. there in it will have a cyclical nature, just as does our economy, Bears & Bulls. 

I don't think the market mirrors the economy, only what happens with the inflows of capital.

Just say the word ADU three times into a mirror and I appear ;)Its been some time but I think I ended up around 160k not including solar.

A lot to be said about not needing a huge paycheck the first year or two and prioritize failing, learning, mirroring, growing over money.

So if you see a s&p 500 index fund (Schwab and Vanguard are my go to funds), the fund will mirror that index and the fees are low because no one  is trying to beat the market. 

But I do like to look at them on the MLS, and what drives me crazy is how none of them put in appliances, upper cabinets, bathroom mirrors, or shower glass.
