It could provide some anonymity I suppose but there are probably easier less expensive ways to accomplish that.

The operating company takes on all of the liability that would otherwise blow back on you including: paying property management, paying contractors, collecting rent, marketing, etc.5th pillar is owning everything anonymously.

When established with an experienced attorney, they can sign for your as a Nominee Trustee and keep your name off public record. this helps offer you some privacy through the anonymity of the property.

Oh and not to be reported by “anonymous” people in this business for simply asking questions on a forum. 

You can search the city website and look for an email address with the building department, and send an anonymous email to see if they can give you some answers.  

This means (1) you get the favorable financing available in your personal name, (2) you can actually establish the Land Trust anonymously and remove your name from public record on the property [a great tool for those seeking more privacy,] and (3) still grants you the liability protection of the LLC. 

This gives me max anonymity, which I like.

The transfer back and forth game will destroy your anonymity, and most likely, your asset protection anyway.With 25 other free and clears, I would take on the crummier commercial term risk.  

You can also use a land trust to gain better anonymity.
