On rare occasions it is possible to see where someone tried to cheat the system and connected the neutral to the ground, which makes the tester think there is a ground wire present when in fact there isn't, but that generally goes unnoticed unless the receptacle is removed.

Additionally, if you have an escalation clause and you indicate a capability of paying a higher purchase price, there is nothing to stop the Seller from just countering you with your ceiling dollar amount you indicate on the offer.I still use escalation clauses on occasion, but it is few and far between because of the negative Seller feedback I have gotten from them over the years.
