I let them know we can buy direct or we can refer them to the realtor we use to place it on the MLS if that's the better route for their situation.  

I dont really bother with HOA matters, just pay my fees and go about my way but received a wake up call recently: got a letter explaining how there's been a take over of the HOA and how the former HOA director and another board member basically embezzled nearly 200K of funds from the HOA.
