Turns out my awesome tenant that had been paying his cash 1 day early every month in $100 bills had setup a wire fraud and money laundering scheme out of my property and the authorities thought I was in on it.

There's a difference between reading and doing.Besides, a book might estimate this costs to repair a roof, but the author can be basing their numbers off a different area and a different market from years ago.

Now Tarrant County Housing Authority is telling us that the agreed rents are lesser (around $100 short per month), looks like the previous owner must have altered the leases to show higher rents.
