I have been advised that all they need to do is have a licensed general contractor submit a permit including architectural diagrams of the unit with the appropriate annotations including specifying that I want the change of use from R2 to R2/R1.

Preferably, we would enjoy finding a contractor who had access to a team that could do the electrical, plumbing, architecture, permit fillings and so on.Please advise if you know of such a being or if you have any pieces of the pie your recommend, such as an Architect/Designer, electrical person and so on.This will be our first time doing something like this so any advice at all is appreciated.Deep gratitude to you all,- Brian
