I am ALSO an IT guy... you will find that your analytical skill set will translate well into analyzing properties and neighborhoods.BP has a tremendous amount of information to help you, but it is only available if you seek it out.

*What I Bring to the Table*- Analytics: My current W-2 as an actuary has allowed me to become fairly decent at putting models together and analyzing the financials of potential deals in a short about of time.

I'm hoping my analytic skills will be valuable in this process, but am cautions to not fall into the whole "analysis paralysis" issue :).

I actually like the space currently and have recently invested, but I'm analytical and like to try and predict how things might play out.
