I have joined this group for two reasons - one is that I represent a non-profit (501c3) that takes property/land donations and rehabs for sale to low/moderate income families, veterans and active-duty military.

They left ALL of their furniture, which was so stained we could not even donate it - had to throw it all out.

Here's how it works: they (FortuneBuilders in this case, but can be any store, supermarket, etc) asks you to either donate food (or in case of stores to donate cash), and then they donate it to various charities, get receipts in their names, and claim it on their "social responsibility" brochures and of course on their tax returns. 8) Re-occurring theme of how schools and universities fail miserably to prepare kids for real world, and instead of providing financial education, they teach how to "dissect frogs".

Only a suggestion:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Maybe have mentees work for you 40 to 80 hours within a year ( for free )Help with demo or cleaning things up before actual rehab takes place ( non skill work -> A little sweat equity for your training )Successful mentees maybe agree to pay forward to other biggerpockets members within 5 years( paying forward training / newly obtain knowledge )Required reading materials Successful mentees agree to donate 1 – 2 % of their profits to biggerpocket or your charity for the next 2 two yearsMaybe successful mentees to run wholesale or other deals past there mentor 1st before contacting other investors ( 2 – 3 year agreement )Again only a few suggestions versus being negative toward the ideal

I joined for 2 reasons 1- The Files and 2 - Like Michael Woodward I liked the content I was getting free and wanted to donate some money.

Seriously, donate the misprints to a local Preschool or Kindergarten.
