Being in the Champaign-Urbana area though, I have to ask if you've thought of areas surrounding the university campus here at all?

Norman around the university and midtown/inner city northside with the hipsters, OCU, and the med school has to be an easy buck or two.

Anecdotal evidence is welcome, but if you could point me to any relevant sources it would be much appreciated as well.Low-value SFR properties ("ghettos") tend to surround major universities.

I have a doubt and I do not know who to turn to, I am 18 years old and I am going to start working, and I want to save approximately 2 to 3 years to build in the back of my parents' house rooms for students as we live near of a national university. the issue is that I am also interested in buying for my `first car haha. and I need your opinions.

Does anyone out there in the BP universe have experience with this dilemma and perhaps have advice and/or a work around?

Our area has a vibrant student life with a large university and the recent addition of a medical school.

It's a small city near a large city and I am primarily looking in a student neighborhood by a medium sized public university, which I like for knowing that there will always be renters. 

The project will be perfect or the designers head will explode...and I'm paying the contractor with her running point on construction admin, so he'll suffer until it's perfect.The point is, if you can apply your complex skillset to a parallel universe, you'll do well. 

We've got a University in town and a ton of new businesses and housing developments are going up left and right.
