Be diplomatic and smile while saying"no," no matter how cute they are or how much they are crying or whining - when the answer needs to be no. 

That quote is so true...and made me smile!

I know dad is looking down smiling ear to ear, he is the one who got me started when he helped me build my first duplex at age 19. 

You can smile and keep a friendly tone, while letting them know the answer is no and if you don't like it, you're welcome to move.  

I actually explained the eviction process to both of them...with a smile on my face.
