I'm more familiar with the southern part (east of Big Bend and south of Manchester), but it seems there would need to be some creativity (ie marketing or driving for $$$s) to find a screaming deal that would cashflow.

Funny enough, though, we're looking at buying a vacation home a bit closer to home - in Bend OR - and it was our Bend realtor who sent me a link to a recent article by Airdna showing the top STR markets in terms of occupancy and daily rates and Maui is still #1.
