But if you look at the historic graphs relative to (say) percent of disposable income, the charts are neither abnormal (not records at all) or alarming (mostly not anomalies and follow long term trends).

I know we have a company come out once a year to check our fire extinguishers and fire alarms to make sure they are certified up to date.

Have the info on:    - any claims in the past 5 years    - when were the Roof, Electrical, Plumbing, & heat last updated    - what alarms/security    - who the prior coverage was for the past 5 yearsCA has become a difficult market for coverage lately so I would start the process early to make sure you are quoted in enough markets.

If you find anything alarming you can back out.

    - fire or burglar alarms    - underground tanks (active or inactive)    - knob & tube or aluminum wiring     - fuses5. what are the years that the Roof, Electrical, Heating, & Plumbing were last updated6.

That was scary and alarming, and we redid the whole bathroom for them immediately.

Those numbers are alarming, home flipping companies have effectively left my market. 

@Caleb Rehg  The only thing I would add to what others suggest is information on things that alarm and owners manuals if you have complicated appliances.
