I really do not want to replace the whole roof this time.. the fix does not have to look pretty as long as it works.Any ideas on how to stop any leaks that keep coming back without me having to spend big bucks? 

As Colin noted above it is hard to compete with the large players in the field.Where we found a better bang for our buck was getting on more channels like Marriott, Booking.com, and about 20 others. 

Congrats on the 700 bucks but that's not going to get you anything for marketing.

I guess we would need to know when it matures, but since its you paying off the debt vs. him selling the loan, I would be happy with $100k discount, refinance at todays rates and then refinance again later if rates dip further.

This is the lack of psychological maturity, emotional intelligence, and everything in between.

I was able to get in at a lower cost basis, and the property didn't cash flow while I was living there (this is a common misconception with house hacking) but I lived almost for free - Only had to kick in a few hundred bucks a month. 

If you are charging full 20 bucks it would give me pause.

I know in tennesse there are 300k houses paying like 600 bucks a year in property taxes.  

Even if it meant that we pay a few hundred bucks a month, at the end we get a whole house.
